{Strategies For Managing Change} - are you harnessing the energy?
May 17, 2010
Hi

Here in the UK, post the general election and a "hung" parliament, we have recently seen a practical political illustration of what John Kotter calls a "coalition for change" with the merging of 2 political parties to form a government.

Building the "energy for change" and "creating a coalition for change" is a vital aspect of the change communication process. The change has a far better chance of remaining a priority if there is an energy for it; and motivating people to respond constructively to change is also essentially all to do with energy.

Themes that are emerging in the sphere of change management are increasingly reflecting the need for the change leaders to respond to and harness this energy dimension and specifically by stressing the importance of emotional connection.

This week's featured article is: "Harnessing The Energy Of Change Management"

I look forward to your feedback on this.

Best Wishes
Stephen
